We made it to Anchorage and so did our luggage which was a good thing as our bed we will sleep on for the next couple of nights was packed in one of the bags. The flight was beautiful and the Captain of the plane said it is never as clear as it was today.
When we we tried to check in and check our luggage to go to Nome, we found out you can only check in 4 hours prior to the departure time. So we had to hang out with our luggage for 2 hours.

We went online last night to see what time the sun set. We were hoping that you got to see Nome and the ocean as you were landing. If your plane was on time, you should have had a great view! It is always nice to be able to drive in daylight to your destination. Have a great day starting to meet people, the city, school and getting your errands done. mom
It looks beautiful! I hope you made it safely to Nome. :)
Thanks for the phone calls. We weren't worried, but it's always good to know when a long day of travel is over and everything's okay.
It sounds like you've started to get settled and are meeting people. When I lived in Idaho the townsfolk were all really friendly and after 30 years some of the people I met there I still consider my best friends. You're going to experience that, and with your students too.
It's a good thing you spent so much time in Fargo acclimating yourself to winter. It should be much warmer there at the seaside!
Post lots of pictures please!
